RACE #20 Victory National Raceways
The 2022/2023 came to an end on a rainy Saturday at Victory Notional Raceways. A record number of racers showed up for a fun day of racing. The season came to an end with some familiar faces grabbing the top podium spots. It also ended a long race winless streak for one of the clubs long time members. Action started on the road course and it began quickly. Once again everyone put up some stellar numbers, with the entire field separated by a mere 10 laps. Mot Fitzcharles closed out the Trans Am season picking up his 26th overall win on the season. Not to far behind was master builder John Teevan, followed by a strong running Bob LaMarta.

The final sportsman race of the season had everyone pushing their cars to the edge. What might have been the last race on the current VNR road course. John Teevan and others were looking to claim the top podium spots one last time. Mot Fitzcharles was onlooking to see what it was going to take to pick up the winners laurels. Doc Cosel, Dave Kosch, Bob LaMarta and Rob Dykstra set the pace for what was going to be a close top 10. With only 4 segments to go, it looked like John Teevan was going to pick up another win on the season. Everyone knew it was go time. Mot Fitzcharles was the last racer to take to the track to see if he could unseat the champ. Driving his car to its limits lap after lap Mot grabbed the top podium spot, relegating John Teevan and Doc Cosel to share the last two podium spots.

With the second half of the racing program switching to the Victory Speedway oval, it was time to push the cushion and pull some slide jobs on the oval. It was easy to see why the racers enjoy the oval so much. There were plenty of laughs and crashes to be had, as things happen very quickly turning sub 2 second laps. There was a lot of fender rubbing and door banging going on as the field started to take shape. When the dust settled it was Mr. IROC Dvae Kosch picking up the win in his 57 Nomad wagon over John Teevan and Joe Toscano.

The final race of the season was set to be a barn burner. After not having a win for several seasons, One racer took out all the stops and drove a great race to pick up his first win on the oval. This was going to be a classic as two drivers started to distance themselves from the rest of the field. Bob LaMarta and Mot Fitzcharles finished the race on the same lap, with Bob finishing one track section ahead of Mot, to pick up the win.

Race #18 Lafayette Raceway
What a great day of racing was had at Lafayette Raceway. Jimmy B. played host to round 18 of the NJHOSCR season. With the season winding down you could tell everyone had one thing on their mind. Taking a top podium spot.
Trans Am would be the opening class on the lightning fast raceway. Jimmy had the track prepped perfectly for competition. This was by far the best Trans Am race the club has had. each heat race had everyone either on the same lap or just one or two back. The marshals had very little to do, as everyone was putting on spectacular driving skills. during the races it was so quiet you could hear a mouse fart. The results really showed how much everyone has improved since the first race of the season. Charlie Clohessey and Doc Cosel had quite the battle for the second and third podium spots. The top 9 racers were all within 9 laps of each other, making it one of the titest finishing fields of the season.

Indy Car
This race had a few more wrecks than the previous class. The Indy cars are a little more of a handful to drive. The marshals were on top of their game putting the cars back on track. There were several Scott drops during the event. The competition was once again close. Bob LaMarta and Doc Cosel made their presence known by putting up some good numbers on each lane they ran. Dave Kosch also had his hand in the cookie jar with another great run. Mot Fitzcharles picked up his second win of the day by close margin.

Sportsman
The Sportsman cars showed why Lafayette Raceway is the fastest track on the NJHOSCR schedule. There were quick times throughout the field. Know one left anything on the track when the dust had settled. There were a few spectacular crashes along the way, Keeping the marshals busy. One driver wasn’t about to have his day end without picking up a win. John Teevan was scorching the track turning in laps just around the 5 second mark. He would not be denied the top podium spot. As a result after the race his hands were a little worse for wear. Not to let John run away. Mot Fitzcharles had the wick turned up also and gave John a run for his money. Picking up the final podium spot was Dave Kosch.

Race #17 Full Circle Raceway
With a full field of racers, Full Circle Raceway was in great shape for some entertaining racing. There were plenty of laughs to be had on this day, as everyone was looking to get back on track after a lengthily break from action.
Trans Am
Full Circle takes a lot of concentration to conquer its twisting circuit. Home track advantage was definitely a plus on this occasion or so we thought. Donny Auriema and John Ciccone would put that theory to the test. Not to be left out club hot shoes John Teevan, Mot F., Dave Kosch and Joe Toscano all had great runs to try and pick up podium spots.

TFX
What a great class this is to run. With running these cars stock out of the package, some racers are showing that running equal cars is to their benefit. Dave Kosch continues to show why his nickname is “Mr. IROC”. Dave has the ability to adapt to cars with or without track time with whatever cars he’s running. Vinny Gaurdino is showing signs of improving, as the Carlstadt, Nj racer improves on finishes with each event. Bob LaMarta is starting to flash his skills as a driver with the equally prepared cars.

Sportsman
When the sportsman cars took to the track. Know one could have guessed what was about to unfold on and off the track. Looking to improve on their race results, everyone was pushing their cars to the limits. This led to some controversy and laughs by drivers and marshals. Its hard to marshal the cars when they come off. Everyone tries their best to put the cars back in the lanes as quickly as possible. Sometimes when there are some good battles going on, its easy for a marshal to start watching the action and a marshal misses getting to a car in ample time. This happened on a couple of occasions. Especially with one marshal in particular on this day. His comments had everyone burst out in laughter except for one racer. When all the laughter settled there was a familiar face in the top podium spot.
1-Mot Fitzcharles 123.39 laps 2-Dave Kosch 116.21 laps 3-John Teevan 116.02 laps

10-Dave Singer 93010 laps 11-Mario LaMarta 99.39 laps 12-Jeff Scott 75.38 laps
Thank you to John Ciccone and Full Circle Raceway for hosting the days events. To say the laughter was deafening is an understatement. Check our website for our next race event info. at Lafayette Raceway.
RACE #16 Randolph Speedways
Race #16 Randolph Speedways
Trans Am
What an exciting class these cars are. They produced some great side by side racing on the fast and furious Randolph Speedway. Doc Cosel showed up with a car that looked like it was going to be the one to beat. He was laying down some quick laps early on. A couple drivers had other ideas. Henry Harnish and Donny Auriema both showed the poise and skill it takes to turn laps on the tricky layout. Not to be left out were club regulars Bob LaMarta, Charlie Clohessey and Dave Kosch (who missed his first segment due to late arrival). We also had a few invaders on the day, that also produced some great racing. The Trans Am class really showcased the driving skills the racers had, producing some great lap totals. When the checkers fell the top podium spots were filled with new regular Donny Auriema, “The Champ” Henry Harnish and master builder John Teevan.

13-Stefan Goetzinger 101.42 laps
Outlaw Late Models
To say that the Outlaw Late Model class takes some skill to drive, is putting it mildly. These cars are fast and will humble the most seasoned veteran. Producing lap times under 3 seconds 1 wreck can cost you a lot of track position. After a brief lunch break, the first round of racers took to the Garden State Doval with hi hopes of grabbing a podium finish. It seemed on driver was going to have lady luck on his side. John Teevan was the first racer to put up a high number of laps. He was hoping it would stand up to Undefeated OLM racer Mot Fitzcharles, who hasn’t lost an OLM race since the class first started. It would be a tough day for Mot F. as he found himself in a hole that was just to deep to dig out of. Finding himself involved in several wrecks. Bob LaMarta rebounded from several on track incidents to get a 6th place finish. In the end all racers tried their best to tame the tricky tri oval. Many a veteran racer has been humbled by the speedway.

Sportsman
Once the smoke had cleared racing turned back to the Randolph Speedway for the Sportsman cars to run. Once again John Teevan set the mark to beat as he was the first driver to complete all 6 lanes. Everyone knew he was going to be hard to catch. It didn’t mean that the other racers weren't going to push as hard as the could to try and top him. Unfortunately lady luck wasn’t on every ones side, as they just couldn’t catch a break. Some had mechanical problems and others just got caught up in wrecks. As the race totals began to sum up it was clear that The podium spots were spoken for. In the end it was a fun day of racing and laughs had buy all who attended. Thanks to Henry Harnish for hosting the event.

RACE #15 Victory Speedway
Event #15 Victory Speedway
The days events had a delayed start time due to the inclement weather. After practice was concluded, it appeared as there were going to be some new faces on the podiums today. Once the drivers meeting concluded the first class hit the track to do battle.
Trans Am
The first heat race would set the tone for what was to come in the overall standings. John Ciccone Set a high mark on the red lane and everyone else was well aware of it. The racing was thrilling, with new track records being lowered with every heat completed. As the finishing order started to tally up, it was clear that there were going to be some first timers on top. Dave Singer and Jeff Scott put on a real show. They were both looking to take the top spots and it showed. When the checkered flag fell there were new faces atop the podium and one familiar face. In a thrilling race John Ciccone had out done the track hot shoes Mot Fitzcharles, John Teevan and Dave Kosch to picked up his first ever victory with the NJHOSCR. 70’ Era Modifieds
One of the clubs most popular classes. The modifieds put on some great racing, as most of the field was separated by less than 10 laps. The open wheel class is a challenge, with passing in the corners being somewhat difficult. The modifieds were broadsiding through the corners like their real ones. After have finished out of the top 3 spots in the previous class, some racers were pushing hard to grab one of the top spots. Jeff Scott was having a great day wheeling his cars around the fast banked oval. He would pick up his second top 5 of the day. Another driver who was looking to improve on his previous finish was Doc Cosel as he ran his Frankie Schnieder Grant King Gremlin to a solid 4th place finish. Up front things looked real familiar as Dave Kosch wheeling his Rich Eurich car and John Teevan running his Ken Brenn Grant King Gremlin both improved on their finishes. One familiar face was Mot Fitzcharles driving his Billy Pauch Mustang bodied car to the win.
1-Mot Fitzcharles 201.05 laps 2-Dave Kosch 195.18 laps 3-John Teevan 195.08 laps

When you talk about the sportsman class, you know that the racing is going to be close. Bob LaMarta showed the form and style that he has by laying down some of the quickest laps of the day in route to a well deserved 4th place finish. One man was on a mission as he wasn’t to be denied taking the win. John Teevan set new track records for the class and picked up the win. Mot Fitzcharles gave it his all put came up a couple laps short of John for the win. Rounding out the podium was the days first winner John Ciccone as he rebounded from a tough showing in the modifieds. The super fast OLM really put on a show. The drivers held nothing back, pushing each other to the edge and sometimes over it. There were a few spectacular crashes during the races that had everyone shouting. Showing why he loves the oval so much. Bob LaMarta drove a spectacular race to pick up the second place podium spot. Not to be out done Doc Cosel rebounded to pick up the 4th spot. When you talk about the OLM class one driver stands above the rest as Mot Fitzcharles picked up his 5th consecutive win in the class. Running his Monster Energy sponsored car he set the track on fire. A fun time was had by everyone running the class.

Race #14 Franklin Speedway
Event #14 at Franklin Speedway turned out to be a real barn burner as racers new and old showed that they were going to be in contention all day. After practice and some quick track repairs, the Trans Am class hit the track. John Ciccone, Donny A., Mario L. and Joe L. were the racers out for the first set of races. Newcomer Donny A. really put up some good laps to set the early pace. John C. wasn’t far behind. As the rest of the racers each took their turn at the fast and technical track. Home track favorites, Bob LaMarta, Mario LaMarta and Doc Cosel were looking to defend their home turf pushing their cars to the limits. Sometimes it proved to be a little to far. Dave Kosch and Mot Fitzcharles each had to put up some great runs to get to the podium spots.

After a nice lunch break, the racers were ready to get back at it and give it their all to improve on their finishes for the day. When the racing resumed, it seemed as though some racers were in a fog. They just couldn’t get out of the gas soon enough. Lap times were really good for most racers and it seemed it was going to take some breaks to grab the top podium spots. When the fog had settled it was Mot Fitzcharles picking up the win over Donny Auriema and Charlie Clohessey.

Race #13 Lafayette Raceway
Lafayette Raceway played host to its biggest field of drivers to date at the track. It was a great day of racing, with high hopes for everyone there. With some new comers Donny A. and Ed S. to the raceway. It was great to have them as additions to the already fast field of racers. The track was in great shape as Jimmy B. spent some extra time making sure the track was smooth and fast. The Trans Am cars hit the track with anticipation of some great racing and podium finishes. Using only Aurora tubs and top plates the class put on some great racing. The field was pretty well matched and all racers were turning in some of there best laps.

One of the toughest classes to run and most fun. Racing was pretty close through out. With the high sped straights and some tight corners it was a challenging race. Some drivers really put up some good lap times, while others put up some good crash times! All in all everyone had fun running the cars. With the new drivers in the field it showed the regulars you had to be on your game. Ed Shultz was really putting up some great lap times and proved to be a favorite for one of the podium spots. Club hot shoe John Teevan turned in some quick lap times in the class only to come up 1 spot short of the top podium spot.

Other drivers tried there best to keep up with the toreid pace to no avail. John was not to be denied the top spot.

NJHOSCR Race #6 Victory National Raceways
Four score and seven days ago...
Apologies to the entire group for the delay in getting this prepared.
The competition level at our weekly events have become much more of a level playing field than ever before. In the handful of races we’ve run so far this year, several new drivers have earned podium step finishes, including Anthony Zampelli, Dave Singer and Jeff Crosley. All well earned by slot racing veterans who have been in the sport since long before the advent of routed tracks and wooden guide pins. After many hours of trying at last Saturday’s four-class marathon, John Ciccone ascended the podium as well and became the latest actual ribbon winner himself, in just his first full season with the club. John elbowed his way past Dave K. in the feature class of the day, Outlaw Late Models, taking third by just three godam track sections. It was an exciting end to one of the longer race days we’ve had in quite some time. Congrats on your hard-fought finish, John. Be sure to check out the video of that final race result announcement also. It’s like the ending to Chariots of Fire, except with slot cars.
On a less competitive note, part of the reason for that extended day, was somewhat of a health issue affecting one of our other veteran members, Joe Toscano. Joe was simply not feeling well and out of sorts enough to retire from the event, heading home just prior to the start of the third segment. Classy Joe arrived home well and was nice enough to remind us that ‘us bastards were lucky that he wasn’t there to send us over the wall’. We’re glad he got home safe and is back to normal. Get well soon, buddy.
We started the day with the Trans-Am class as usual. Eleven drivers took the green and things went well to start the day…until Dave K. showed up. Dave was ‘less than on-time’ for the fkteenth time in a row, disrupting the rotation briefly. Racing resumed soon after and, with Mot (73) and Doc (66) ahead by a few laps, the only podium spot up for grabs was third. Jeff Crosley and Anthony Z. both bowled 64 lap totals through their four rotations. Jeff C. coasted further around the VNR road course however, besting Big Ant by 18 track sections, earning that final podium step. John Ciccone and Joe "el Tecano Grande" Lupico also finished a close 5th and 6th respectively. Both with 63 laps.
Trans-Am Class Results
1. Mot Fitzcharles – 73 Laps (21 track sections)
2. Doc Cosel – 66
3. Jeff Crosley – 64 (40)
4. Anthony Zampelli – 64 (22)
5. John Ciccone – 63 (20)
6. Joe Lupico – 63 (3)
7. Bob Lamarta – 61 (44)
8. Joe Skylark – 61 (41)
9. Charlie Clohessey – 60
10. Vinny Guardino – 57
Continuing with the parity theme, Charlie Clohessey muscled his way up to the third podium step this time, in the next Sportsman Class round. Finishing just one lap behind 2nd place Dave K., 85 to 84. The Duke of Ogdensburg’s Irish Spring colored sportsman car actually led Dave’s car during the first few heat races while on track together. An unfortunate yellow (inside, gutter) lane finish was his undoing, however; turning in 19 laps to Dave’s 22 yellow lane total. Lurking just behind Charlie, finishing 4th, ALSO with 84 laps, was Doc Cosel. Stopping just short, only TWO godam track sections behind in yet another close finish.
Sportsman Class Results

After an extended pizza break, conversion over to the high banked ovel and a brief practice session, the 70’s Era Modified class got underway next. It’s always a bonus for the eyes to see these amazing looking cars lined up in the tech box and setup on the starting line. The nostalgia goes away really fast though when the countdown ends and the Trackmate robot guy says “go”. One hundred ninety-eight ‘2-second’ laps later, you’re wondering where the Advil is and if your pointer finger is gonna be okay. It’s the best two-minute torture money can buy. Mot, of course, turned in those 198 laps to win, Anthony Z. very close behind with 195. Three laps difference on the VNO is just two eye blinks. That may be the closest anyone has come to beating Mot on his home bullring. Just an amazing job by Anthony who has a mountain of ovel racing experience in his back pocket. I’m looking forward to the next race at Henry’s to see how the Garden State Doval race plays out.
70’s Era Modifieds Class Results
1. Mot Fitzcharles – 198 Laps

7. John Ciccone – 181 (11)
8. Jeff Crosley – 178
9. Vinny Guardino – 169
10. Jeff Scott – 168
The final class of the day was our dangerously fast, unlimited, Outlaw Late Models. Not for the faint of heart, marshalling a late model on the VNO is pretty dicey as well. It may also be the most fun you’ll have all day. Unless your name is John Ciccone.
Mot closed the day winning his fourth in a row, with his little black piranha late model churning out 213 laps. Bob Lamarta pounded out a really solid 203 laps to finish second, and a young racing orphan, with the same last name as Madonna, knifed his way through many wrecks to earn his first podium finish. When the frenzy ended John Ciccone drove his Mot powered Outlaw car three godam track sections further than Dave K., earning his first white ribbon ever. John was naturally beside himself when the results were announced. We were all just as happy for him. It was a really great way to end the day.
Outlaw Late Model Class Results
1. Mot the Impaler – 213 Laps (17 Sections)
2. Bob Lamarta – 203

Congrats again to John C. and to everyone who took part in that awesome day. Huge thanks to Tommy for hosting a really great day of racing. We hope to see you at our next race at Henry Harnish’s fabulous estate, December 4th, for the annual H.O.liday Event. More H.O.liday Race details to follow soon.
Franklin Raceway Event #5
It was off to the always fast and exciting Franklin Raceway for event #5. The Trans Am cars took to the speedway first. It was a thrilling race as all competitors were on the A game. Even Rookie Vinny Gaurdino turned in some quick times. There were two drivers that wanted to pick up the top spot, as they pushed each other lap after lap. Doc Cosel and Mot Fitzcharles were running some quick laps. When the smoke cleared it was Mot picking up the win over Doc by a mere 2 track sections. Good runs were turned in by Charlie Clohessey, Anthony Z. and Jimmy B.
1-Mot Fitzcharles 98.37 laps 6-Bob LaMarta 89.16 laps
2—Doc Cosel 98.35 laps 7-Jeff Crosley 88.30 laps

Sportsman
The sportsman cars didn’t disappoint as they ran wheel to wheel the entire race. Looking to pick up one more spot on the podium, Doc Cosel drove without hesitation. Putting up the mark to beat. Mario LaMarta, Anthony Z. and Charlie Clohessey turned up the wick in an effort to top the hometown favorite. In the end Charie Clohessey took top honors as Anthony Z. And Doc Cosel rounded out the podium.
1-Charlie Clohessey 95.02 laps 5-Vinny Gaurdino 85.15 laps
2-Anthony Z. 95.01 laps 6-Jeff Crosley 79.03 laps
3-Doc Cosel 90.23 laps 7-Jimmy B. 77.34 laps

Lafayette Raceway RACE #4 RECAP
It's been quite a long while (a full calendar year if I'm not mistaken) since the last time North Jersey H.O. visited Jimmy Bee's luxurious race space. We broke that streak, finally, for 2022 series race #4. The trip out to Lafayette this time of year, alone, is a highlight, the pit space is fabulous and the track is FAST and smooth. This time there was even a beautiful, ivory white, '69 Corvette Stingray at the end of Jimmy's driveway to say hi as you arrived. It's just a different kind of good day.
Fourteen drivers turned up at the Bee Estate this past Saturday. We started the day with the Trans-Am class, as usual.
Charlie Clohessey came out swinging in his first heat of the day, laying down a very good 23 lap total with his candy apple red Camaro. The next few heats were just as good. Doc Cosel started well also and was not far behind. Unfortunately, the mark that Charlie set for the field was a bullseye for Mot to open fire on. Tommy's new, blood red #2 Camaro cut through the field like a scythe. In his first two heats, starting on the green gutter lane first, he bowled a 27 then 25 in the next. Both scores two whole laps better than the field. The remaining heats just a formality at that point; Mot could have taken a break to make jack-o'-lanterns for everyone in Sussex County if he wanted. He chose not to however, kept running and won the class by a hefty 7 laps. Dave K. was lucky enough to survive a couple of those segments and sneak past Charlie for second place. Of note also was the run put down by new kid, Vinny G., in his first visit to Lafayette. Well done, Vinny.
TRANS-AM RESULTS
1. Mot Vorhees - 151 Total Laps
2. Dave Kosch - 144
3. Charlie Clohessey - 138
4. Doc Cosel - 135
5. Joe Toscano - 131/30 track sections
6. Bob Lamarta - 131/26
Indy Cars were next and, again, Charlie C. set the pace early. This time however Bob Lamarta kept Charlie within reach, matching his first two segment scores. Bob was able to wrestle one more lap out of his red lane run and secure a podium spot for himself. Bob would have to wait and watch (and marshall) though while other contenders got after it. Reigning Indy Car Champ, Doc "DJ Foyt" Cosel showed up with his title car, ready for battle as always. Earlier in the day he would receive, from Mot, a gorgeous new Indy Car body that looked like a trophy in itself. The doctor hooked up and checked out; getting past Charlie and his pops, Mr. Robert LaMarta , with two more laps than them.
Mot would hook up last in the rotation this time. The result; the same. He'd use his other red car to dice up the field again. Outpacing second place Doc Cosel by a mere 13 laps. Jimmy Bee also ran really well in Indy Car, finishing 6th. Just two laps behind 3rd place Bob Lamarta. Great job, Jimmy.
INDY CAR RESULTS
1. Mot Fitzcharles - 150 Laps
2. Doc Cosel - 137
3. Bob Lamarta - 135
4. Charlie Clohessey - 134
5. Joe Skylark - 133/34 track sections
6. Jimmy Bee - 133/10
Our final group of the day would be much more competitive than the previous two. And by "much more competitive" I mean the second and third place drivers, this time, would at least finish in the same time zone as the Sportsman winner. Mot would use his OTHER other blood red car and run out front just fast enough to beat Dave K. by two laps and Charlie C. by four.
SPORTSMAN RESULTS
1. Mot the Impaler - 182 Laps
2. Dave Kosch - 180
3. Sir Charles of Ogdensburg - 178
4. Doc Cosel - 174
5. Joe Skylark - 172
6. Robert Lamarta - 168
Congrats
to all the podium finishers and an especially heavy-handed internet high five to Jimmy Bee for hosting such a fabulous day of racing. Full race results are below. We're all very much looking forward to the next series race, to be held at casa Lamarta, two weeks from last Saturday. Have an awesome week, race fam.
Full Circle Raceway
Race #3 10/1.2022
It was the first time for NJHOSCR visiting the all new FCR. With a good crowd on hand, the drivers took to the track with anticipation of getting into a rhythm enabling them to be the first to pick up a podium spot at the new venue.
Trans Am
After a few hiccups, The racing got underway. It was definitely a racers track. All the racers turned in some great runs, with the entire field being separated by only 11 laps from top to bottom. Everyone had there eyes set on Mr. IROC Dave Kosch as the guy to beat. When all was said and done, John Teevan picked up the win by 1 track section over Mot Fitzcharles. Jeff Crosley was driving like he had raced the track before and came home in third place.
1-John Teevan 60.31 laps 6-Doc Cosel 56.17 laps
2-Mot Fitzcharles 60.32 laps 7-Bob LaMarta 55.05 laps

TFX
The newest class to run in the NJHOSCR is the new TFX Cars from One Stop Slots. This class is run in stock configuration. These cars did not disappoint in there first outing. Everyone was raving on how well these cars ran. The racing was close throughout the field. As all the drivers wanted to be the first to claim a win in the new division. Once again the racers drove the cars to perfection, with close battles all throughout. Joe Toscano, Doc Cosel and Bob LaMarta had some great battles between them. Vinny Gaurdino was showing he is going to be a contender this season as he and track owner John Ciccone ran door to door most of the races. Jeff Scott and Charlie Clohessey had good showings as well.
1-John Teevan 66.21 laps 6-Jeff Crosley 59.15 laps
2-Dave Kosch 66.25 laps 7-Joe Toscano 58.12 laps

4-Mot Fitzcharles 62.38 laps 9-Vinny Gaurdino 55.25
5-Bob LaMarta 61.14 laps 10-Jeff Scott 50.07
Sportsman
What a race the sportsman drivers put on! It was the last race to get on the podium for the day, so everyone was pushing their cars and themselves to the limits. There was some great action on the track. On some of the lanes guys were mere segments apart. Looking to sweep the top spot on the day was John Teevan as he would once again drive a steller race to pick up the win over a hard charging field.
1-John Teevan 59.08 laps 6-Charlie Clohessey 53.34 laps
2-Doc Cosel 58.02 laps 7-John Ciccone 52.07 laps
3-Joe Toscano 55.30 laps 8-Bob LaMarta 57.23 laps

What a great day it was. 28 racers showed up to pay respect to the Pisano family and have a great time racing. The day started with the Team race on the Randolph Speedway using TFX cars that were prepared by Paul Kniffen from Max Trax and friends. Everyone was using the same controllers provided by Dave Lockwood. They were all great to use as Dave did an outstanding job setting them up. The team races were a lot of fun, combining 2 drivers and totaling up there laps to proclaim a winner. All the racers drove the best to try and claim one of the top spots. In the end it was our gracious host Henry Harnish and Jeff Crosley picking up the win. Second went to Sheldon Hiester and Henry Harnish pulling double duty. Third place went to Shane Hiester and Scott “kid racer” Beyer. Trophies for the event were donated by Max Trax.

Turning some of the fastest laps recorded on the oval for the class. John Ciccone set a new single lap track record, lower the mark to 2.039 seconds for the Full Fender Fairgrounds class. After posting a couple top 10 finishes in the previous races Anthony Z. was on a mission to pick up the win.
