Hello Race Fans,

On September 25th, 2022, we'll be celebrating the 10th anniversary of the "Mike Pisano Classic" HO slot car race. This race is in honor of my son Mike who I lost way too early in his life to leukemia.

Thanks to all my friends and family for all the previous celebrations which were held at N.J. hobby in Scotch Plains and after missing the 2020 race because of Covid. I was honored that Henry Harnish held last year’s race at his Randolph Raceway Complex in Randolph NJ. Henry has generously offered to hold it there again this year.

Over the years this race has been a great success thanks to all who attended and generously offered door prizes, many free give-a-ways items, auction items, and cash donations. All money raised because of their generosity has been donated to the leukemia foundation.

The 1st race of the day will be an IROC team format race. The cars are expertly built by Paul Kniffen and fitted with the newest TFX chassis.

• MaxTrax will provide controllers and cars for the race.

• 2 racers per team racing on the Randolph Speedway.

The 2nd race will be the "classic" race which will be an IROC race. We are using Dash chassis with Dash McLaren bodies expertly built by Derek Wright and Paul Kniffen.

This will be a great day of racing, so please come, have some fun and honor Mike. The race gives us an opportunity to help give as much as we can to help those inflicted with this terrible disease.

Race Fee: $10 per racer

Hello Racers,

The annual Holiday race is set to take the green flag on Dec. 5, 2021. 5 different races on 4 different tracks:

1st race: IROC Aurora Vibes on the 1962 Ford-Aurora qualifying track, complete with streering wheel controllers.

2nd Race: The Trans-Am race on the original 1967 Aurora Tub Track, with original lock and joiner surface.

3rd Race: Charlie’s ownn IROC VW buses on the Randolph Speedway.

4th Race: The battle continues as the Indy Class takes on the treacherous Garden StateDoval.

5th Race: The feature race of the day is the Sportsman race, which will be 2 minutes.

$10 race entry fee gets you NY style pizza, beverage of choice and the 50/50 raffle. One lucky racer walks away with 50% of the entry fee.

Doors open at 8:00am, with racing to begin at 9:30am.

Breakfast lovers are invited to the Randolph Dinner at 7:00am.

Pre-race practice on Dec. 4, 2021 from 10:00am to 4:00pm, with dinner at a local eatery to follow.

There will be a special open practice on Nov. 20, 2021 in anticipation of this event.

Hello, Racers:

The Henry Harnish September 5th annual BLAST race in Randolph NJ this year is sponsoring the 9TH annual “MIKE PISANO CLASSIC “that traditionally has been run at NJ Hobby honoring my son Mike that I lost 9 years ago to Leukemia.

The race is an IROC format timed heat race with E-Fray Dash chassis and expertly built by Derek Wright and Paul Kniffen. These cars are fast and run great and I’m sure will provide loads of exciting racing on Henry’s large Bowman track. All you need is a controller!

Please come and join us around 1:45 after lunch and Henry’s Superstock/Sportsman race on the big track and Trans Am on the vintage Aurora TUB track.

I’m happy to say the North Jersey HO Racers will be joining us for the 1st time for Mike’s race and I’m sure they will add lots of exciting racing and lots of plenty of fun.

It’s sure to be a great afternoon of racing with lunch, door prizes, giveaways, raffles, items for sale, trophies, and plaques all for a great cause with all donations and proceeds collected to be donated to the Leukemia Foundation.
